Walmart Canada is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate to deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining the Bakery and Deli areas. You will assist with stocking, pricing, and serving items, ensuring correct placement and signage across the department.

This role emphasizes adherence to cold chain standards, proper temperatures, and accurate labeling. We value teamwork and a proactive approach to keeping the display fresh and inviting for customers.

• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; prepares hot food merchandise and provides requested assistance.
• Prepares deli items using utensils; roasts chicken in rotisserie oven; fills prepared side dishes for display.
• Prepares bakery items following thawing and baking guidelines to maintain quality and appearance of bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Follows procedures for ordering, clearance, markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.

Position Summary

A Deli Bakery Associate provides exemplary customer service by adhering to the basic beliefs and values of Walmart, maintains and zones the Bakery and/or Deli area, and assists with stocking and the sale of goods.

What you'll do

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organization and product is in the correct location
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell‑by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.40. Le taux horaire minimum pour ce poste débute à 18.40.
