Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Deli Associate to deliver exceptional customer service, maintain the deli area, and assist with stocking and selling goods.

As a Deli Associate, you will zone the department, rotate stock, check dates, and ensure signage and pricing are accurate, while following cold chain and food-handling standards.

The minimum rate of pay starts from $18.70 per hour. Primary location: 2991 A 9TH AVE SW, UNIT A Salmon Arm, BC V1E 3J9, Canada.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department.
• Rotates stock and checking for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; slicing and preparing merchandise, such as meat, cheese, fried chicken; and providing requested assistance.
• Provides assistance to the front end Associates with price checks.
• Prepares deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizing slicers ,stackers, and other utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven and deep fryer; and filling prepared salads and side dishes for placement into display area and specialty orders from Customers as required.
• Keeps the area neat, clean, and organized; free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids.
