Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Deli Associate to provide outstanding customer service, maintain and zone the deli area, and assist with stocking and sale of goods. You will ensure proper labeling, pricing, and adherence to food-handling standards while helping customers with requests in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role includes preparing deli items, assisting with price checks, and keeping the deli area clean and organized. Minimum wage starts at CAD 19.05 per hour.

• Prepares deli food orders using slicers, stackers, rotisseries, deep fryer and other utensils; fills salads and specialty orders.
• Keeps the area neat, clean, and organized; free of debris and liquids.

What you’ll do…

4. Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
5. Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; slicing and preparing merchandise, such as meat, cheese, fried chicken; and providing requested assistance.
6. Provides assistance to the front end Associates with price checks.
7. Prepares deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizing slicers ,stackers, and other utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven and deep fryer; and filling prepared salads and side dishes for placement into display area and specialty orders from Customers as required.
8. Keeps the area neat, clean, and organized; free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $19.05.
