Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Deli Associate at our Toronto location to deliver excellent customer service and maintain the deli area. You will zone the department, rotate stock, ensure proper signage and pricing, and assist with deli food orders and preparation using slicers and other utensils.

You will follow cold chain and food handling standards, keep the area clean, and support front-end pricing tasks. Applicants should be at least 16 years old; starting pay is CAD 18.05 per hour.

• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; slicing and preparing merchandise, such as meat, cheese, fried chicken; and providing requested assistance.
• Provides assistance to the front end Associates with price checks.
• Prepares deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizing slicers ,stackers, and other utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven and deep fryer; and filling prepared salads and side dishes for placement into display area and specialty orders from Customers as required.
• Keeps the area neat, clean, and organized; free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids.
