Job summary

Walmart Canada in St. Catharines is hiring a Deli Associate to support the deli department, provide excellent customer service, and help with stocking and merchandising.

You will zone the department, rotate stock, ensure accurate signage and pricing, maintain food safety, and assist with deli order preparation using slicers and other tools. The role is on-site at 420 Vansickle Rd, starting wage $18.05 per hour.

What You'll Do...

• Zones the department.
• Rotates stock and checking for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; slicing and preparing merchandise, such as meat, cheese, fried chicken; and providing requested assistance.
• Provides assistance to the front end Associates with price checks.
• Prepares deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizing slicers ,stackers, and other utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven and deep fryer; and filling prepared salads and side dishes for placement into display area and specialty orders from Customers as required.
• Keeps the area neat, clean, and organized; free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.05.
