Job summary

Walmart Canada in Drumheller, AB is seeking a Day Remodel Associate to support the Remodel Lead and Day Remodel Manager in establishing standards in newly renovated departments. You will complete modulars, assist customers, ensure high-ticket merchandise is secured, and maintain stock during and after department setup.

This role involves working across General Merchandise, Fashion, Consumables, Grocery, Dairy/Frozen, and Fresh departments, with attention to safety and cold-chain practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensures high-ticket merchandise is properly secured in a designated location.
• Sets mods by printing mod sheets/labels, cleaning counters, installing ESL where required, linking mods to DSM labels.
• Stocks a variety of departments including General Merchandise, Fashion, Consumables, Grocery, Dairy/Frozen, and Fresh Departments.
• Follows guidelines for cold chain compliance to ensure quality assurance.
• Assists in shrink prevention by scanning damaged or stolen merchandise in a timely manner.
• Builds new counters using kit sheets provided by the Warehouse Associates as per the print provided by the Lead Specialist.
• Moves counters using the appropriate equipment.
• Merchandises endcaps, action alley, and side counters in accordance with accepted standards.
• May occasionally work in construction areas, requiring steel toes and a hard hat.
• Delivers exceptional customer focus by helping customers locate products and answer questions to ensure a positive shopping experience during ongoing construction.

Position Summary A day remodel associate works with the Remodel Lead and Day Remodel Manager to establish standards in newly renovated departments. They complete modulars, assist customers, ensure high-ticket merchandise is secured, maintains clearance zone, scans departments in the run up to setting the department and after setting the department to ensure proper in-stock.

What You'll Do

• Ensures high-ticket merchandise is properly secured in a designated location.
• Sets mods by printing mod sheets/labels, cleaning counters, installing ESL (where required), installing DSM, and linking mods to DSM labels (where required).
• Stocks a variety of departments including General Merchandise, Fashion, Consumables, Grocery, Dairy/Frozen, and Fresh Departments
• Follows guidelines for cold chain compliance to ensure quality assurance.
• Assists in Shrink prevention by scanning all damaged and stolen merchandise in a timely manner.
• Build new counters using kit sheets provided by the Warehouse Associates as per the print provided by the Lead Specialist.
• Move counters using the appropriate equipment.
• Merchandise endcaps, action alley, and side counters in accordance with accepted standards
• May occasionally working in construction areas, and require steel toes and a hard hat.
• While executing remodel responsibilities, they consistently demonstrate exceptional customer focus by proactively assisting customers in locating products, answering questions accurately, and ensuring a positive shopping experience despite ongoing construction activity.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $16.15.
