Job summary

Walmar in Calgary is seeking a Day Remodel Associate to support remodels under the Remodel Lead and Day Remodel Manager. You will complete modulars, assist customers, and ensure merchandise is secured during construction, maintaining a safe and organized shopping environment.

The role involves stocking diverse departments, following cold chain guidelines, and assisting in shrink prevention. Physical work may occur in construction zones, with steel-toe boots and a hard hat required.

Responsibilities

• Secure high-ticket merchandise in designated locations.
• Set mods by printing mod sheets/labels, cleaning counters, installing ESL/DSM, and linking mods to labels.
• Stock multiple departments: General Merchandise, Fashion, Consumables, Grocery, Dairy/Frozen, and Fresh.
• Follow cold chain guidelines to ensure quality assurance.
• Assist shrink prevention by promptly scanning damaged and stolen merchandise.
• Build new counters using kit sheets from the Lead Specialist.
• Move counters using appropriate equipment.
• Merchandise endcaps, action alley, and side counters per standards.
• Occasionally work in construction areas; wear steel-toed boots and hard hat.
• Demonstrate strong customer focus by assisting customers in locating products and answering questions.

Position Summary...A day remodel associate works with the Remodel Lead and Day Remodel Manager to establish standards in newly renovated departments. They complete modulars, assist customers, ensure high-ticket merchandise is secured, maintains clearance zone, scans departments in the run up to setting the department and after setting the department to ensure proper in-stock.What you'll do...1. Ensures high-ticket merchandise is properly secured in a designated location.2. Sets mods by printing mod sheets/labels, cleaning counters, installing ESL (where required), installing DSM, and linking mods to DSM labels (where required).3.Stocks a variety of departments including General Merchandise, Fashion, Consumables, Grocery, Dairy/Frozen, and Fresh Departments4. Follows guidelines for cold chain compliance to ensure quality assurance.5. Assists in Shrink prevention by scanning all damaged and stolen merchandise in a timely manner.6. Build new counters using kit sheets provided by the Warehouse Associates as per the print provided by the Lead Specialist.7. Move counters using the appropriate equipment.8. Merchandise endcaps, action alley, and side counters in accordance with accepted standards9. May occasionally working in construction areas, and require steel toes and a hard hat.10.
