What you'll do

1. Ensure safe work processes and emergency procedures are followed, including safe lifting techniques, cleanliness, evacuations, register down times, emergency codes, and theft prevention.
2. Handle customer and associate concerns, providing guidance as needed.
3. Monitor all front-end associates to ensure proper coverage, coordinate breaks, and assist with register operations.
4. Train associates on systems and company procedures, including scanning accuracy, productivity, company programs, discounts, EAS system, and safety protocols.
5. Oversee purchase, return, and exchange transactions, assist with error corrections, and verify processes to meet company guidelines.
6. Ensure all EAS systems are functioning properly, including cashier deactivations and greeter issue handling, and complete related logs.
7. Prepare registers for opening and closing, support cashiers with change, maintain cash levels, and conduct register audits for accuracy.
8. Promote and oversee all company-sponsored programs and initiatives, such as credit card services, protection plans, charity initiatives, and discount programs.
