Job summary

Walmart Canada Corp in Nelson, BC is hiring a Cosmetics Associate to deliver outstanding customer service and support merchandise flow from backroom to sales floor.

You will assist customers, promote products, maintain displays, and help protect company assets in a fast-paced retail setting. A dedicated Cosmetics Associate is available to offer product knowledge and guidance to shoppers.

Responsibilities

• Delivers excellent customer experience by greeting customers, assisting with product selection, promoting services, helping locate merchandise, and resolving concerns or referring to management when appropriate.
• Maintains strong sales floor standards through stocking, rotating, signing, pricing, and displaying merchandise.
• Handles stocking, modular and inventory tasks including restocking, shelf caps, and flex modulars.
• Supports loss prevention by securing merchandise, handling claims and returns, and following company policies.
• Assists with customer service inquiries and store operations, coordinating with the Customer Service Manager as needed.
• Provides customers with cosmetics expertise and guidance through a dedicated Cosmetics Associate presence.
• Adapts to a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays, to meet business needs.

What you'll do...

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Deliver an Excellent Customer Experience Greets customers in a polite and friendly manner, assists with product selection, promotes products and services, helps customers locate merchandise, supports purchase decisions, and resolves concerns or refers them to management when appropriate.

Sales Floor Presentation and Merchandising Maintains strong sales floor standards by stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or expired items, setting up and maintaining displays, and ensuring accurate signing and pricing.

Stocking, Modular, and Inventory Execution Receives and stocks merchandise, completes picks and downstocking as required, applies product protection when necessary, and sets and completes modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.

Claims, Returns, and Asset Protection Support Ensures proper handling of claims and returns, secures merchandise, identifies high-shrink items, and supports loss prevention efforts in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

Customer Service and Team Support Refers appropriate service and transactional requests to the Customer Service Manager as needed and supports Front End and store operations when required.

Cosmetics Expertise and Customer Awareness Provides customers with awareness that a dedicated Cosmetics Associate is available to offer guidance, product knowledge, and support within the department.

Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule) Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runssmoothlyand customers receive consistent, high-quality service.

Physical Demands

• Performs physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Performs repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail and consistency to uphold store standards.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.40.
