Job summary

Walmart in Surrey, BC is seeking a Consumable Associate to support leadership of Consumable Associates and store processes. You will partner with the Consumables Assistant Manager to deliver high levels of customer service and ensure task completion.

The role includes supervising merchandising, scheduling support, training others, and maintaining a safe, clean store environment. Minimum age is 16 or older, with a starting hourly rate of $21.50.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent Customer Service by greeting customers, promoting products/services, locating merchandise and assisting purchases, resolving issues and referring concerns as needed.
• Assist in directing and coordinating task completion per priorities from the Consumables Assistant Manager and Store Management Team.
• Assess overall presentation of Consumable Departments and merchandising, note deficiencies and execute display changes as required.
• Delegate, assist and follow up on completion of daily Customer Availability Process tasks.
• Support with scheduling as needed.
• Assign Associates to support coverage and availability tasks across the store.
• Participate in training and development of Consumable Associates, providing feedback as needed.
• Contribute to a safe, clean and hazard-free work environment through adherence to company policy and completing safety logs.

Position Summary…

To assist in the leadership of Consumable Associates and department processes through partnership with the Consumables Assistant Manager and ensure a high level of customer service and while ensuring task completion.

What you’ll do…

Job Responsibility #1 Providing excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate.
Job Responsibility #2 Assists in providing direction and the co-ordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the Consumables Assistant Manager and the Store Management Team.
Job Responsibility #3 Assesses the overall presentation of Consumable Departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executes merchandising display changes where required.
Job Responsibility #4 Delegate, assist and follow up on completion of daily Customer Availability Process tasks
Job Responsibility #5 Support with scheduling as needed
Job Responsibility #6 Assign Associates to support with coverage and availability tasks in all areas of the store
Job Responsibility #7 Participates in the training and development of the Consumable Associates, and provides feedback as needed.
Job Responsibility #8 Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and free of debris.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $21.50.
