Position Summary: To support the Store Manager and manage store operations according to Company guidelines, leading Associates to ensure friendly, helpful service and drive profitable store sales.
What You'll Do...
- Sales and Profit Management: Drive profitable sales through achievement of sales and profit goals, budget management, and sales forecasts. Analyze sales/financial reports, economic trends, and community needs to respond to market changes while controlling expenditures. Communicate sales results to associates and guide interpretation of results.
- Operational Planning: Create operational plans with the Management Team; prioritize, delegate, and provide clear direction to Managers and Associates. Ensure optimal store conditions through effective merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, and store standards within Company policies. Implement and evaluate new store programs, with cross-training in all store areas as needed.
- Asset Protection and Safety: Execute and monitor asset protection and safety controls; maintain quality assurance standards; oversee safety and operational reviews, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. Address compliance issues proactively.
- Customer Service: Serve as an ambassador by greeting customers, seeking feedback, and resolving issues within Company guidelines to create positive shopping experiences. Model and enforce friendly, helpful customer service approaches.
- Community Engagement: Support store initiatives to serve the community by participating in events and developing relationships with community groups. Engage in company programs and sustainability efforts.
- Leadership and Development: Lead Associates through store meetings, communicate operational initiatives, and drive engagement. Recognize achievements, provide professional growth opportunities, and develop high-potential staff.
- Performance Management: Hold Associates accountable with honest feedback and corrective actions. Build relationships with supporting functions like HR.
- Compliance and Merchandise Handling: Ensure all merchandise, including sensitive items like alcohol, ammunition, narcotics, and high-ticket items, are handled per standards. Manage cash controls, handling up to $250,000 daily.
The pay range for this position is $56,100.00 - $66,642.50, determined by experience.
