Position Summary...

Working as a Cashier at Walmart Canada is a great way to develop your skills in the retail industry. A Cashier provides exemplary customer service during the checkout process to drive customer loyalty. They are also responsible for protecting company assets with keen attention to detail. If you are interested in a customer service or retail role, working as a Cashier may be a good fit for you!

What you'll do...

1. Greet all customers in a polite and friendly manner.
2. Process all purchase transactions efficiently, including deactivation of merchandise with respect to the EAS Program.
3. Promote company-sponsored programs such as credit card services, product protection, and charity initiatives.
4. Assist customers with bagging and loading merchandise.
5. Follow safe work practices, including proper lifting and maintaining a clean work area.
6. Maintain register security and integrity through diligent cash handling, adherence to policies, and awareness of surroundings.
7. Refer service and transactional issues to a Customer Service Manager as needed.

The starting pay rate for this position is $17.55 per hour, with the rate determined based on relevant experience.
