Job summary

Walmart Canada is hiring a Bakery Associate in Rouyn-Noranda to provide exemplary customer service and help maintain the Bakery Department.

You will ensure quality and attractive displays of bread, cakes, pies, cookies and rolls, keep the department fully stocked and properly signed and priced, and adhere to food safety, sanitation, and cold‑chain procedures.

The minimum hourly rate starts at 19.05 CAD.

• Manages ordering, clearance, markdowns, signing, pricing, and labeling.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by following thawing and baking guidelines.
• Keeps displays secured and safe.

What you’ll do…

1. Ensures the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise; such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
2. Ensures that department is fully stocked with merchandise and is ready for business.
3. Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
4. Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
5. Adheres to food safety and handling procedures and following sanitation and cleaning procedures.
6. Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
7. Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
8. Ensures all displays are secured in a safe and proper manner.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $19.05.
