Walmart Canada is seeking a Bakery Associate in Shawinigan, QC. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, maintaining the Bakery Department’s appearance and inventory, and adhering to Walmart’s policies for food safety and quality.

You will assist with thawing/baking, signing and pricing, and ensure displays are secure and compliant with cold-chain standards. The position starts at a minimum hourly rate of $19.05 CAD in Canada.

What you’ll do…

1. Ensures the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise; such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
2. Ensures that department is fully stocked with merchandise and is ready for business.
3. Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
4. Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
5. Adheres to food safety and handling procedures and following sanitation and cleaning procedures.
6. Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
7. Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
8. Ensures all displays are secured in a safe and proper manner.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $19.05.
