Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Bakery Associate in Hamilton, ON to deliver exemplary customer service while maintaining the bakery area and assisting with stocking and product sales.

You will ensure quality and visual appeal of bakery items, keep displays stocked, label and price products, follow food-safety procedures, and support bakery operations daily.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise; such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Ensures department is fully stocked with merchandise and is ready for business.
• Ensures merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, expiration dates.
• Follows food safety and sanitation procedures and cleaning procedures.
• Performs ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels procedures.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by thawing and baking guidelines to ensure quality and display.
• Ensures all displays are secured safely.
