Job summary

Walmart in Cornwall, ON is seeking an Asset Protection Operations Team Associate to maintain store financial integrity, pricing accuracy, and inventory control while ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will securely handle high-ticket merchandise, process shipments, enforce cold chain guidelines, monitor shrink, and ensure timely invoicing and compliance with company policies.

This role starts at $18.55 per hour and requires at least 16 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Ensures high-ticket merchandise is properly secured in a designated location.
• Processes direct and local shipments promptly, including OMNI merchandise, and alcohol and receiving of warehouse trailers.
• Ensures a neat, clean and organized work area in receiving, claims, and offices.
• Follows guidelines for cold chain compliance to ensure quality assurance including documenting all necessary information on the Receiving Temperature Log / Spark App.
• Assists in Shrink prevention by scanning all damaged and stolen merchandise in a timely manner.
• Maintains all up-to-date returns, vendor return requests (RA), recalls, paperwork, packing and shipping and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner and within any deadlines as per Company guidelines. Handle all SORT, and Global Donation Merchandise
• Monitors merchandise being returned through claims and protect assets by ascertaining proper process and handling in regard to shrink, in order to keep charge backs to a minimum. Recording and monitoring returns and shrink wins within the store.
• Maintains up to date knowledge about Company policies, guidelines and processes regarding the handling of damaged and recalled merchandises and ensures all New Store Programs and systems are implemented and followed on a continuous basis.
• Ensures that the Invoicing key controls checklist is being followed by ensuring timely payments are made for merchandise and services.
• Work exception reports MU/MD review, scanning exceptions, price override, and 2 cent report.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.55.
