Job summary

Walmart Canada in Dieppe, NB is seeking an Asset Protection Operations Team Associate to help maintain store financial integrity, pricing accuracy and inventory control. You will coordinate and process direct and local merchandise to support a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities include securing high-ticket merchandise, handling shipments, maintaining a neat receiving area, and following cold chain guidelines for quality assurance. Minimum pay starts at $16.85 per hour.

• Maintains a neat, clean and organized work area in receiving, claims, and offices.
• Follows cold chain guidelines to ensure quality assurance and documents information.
• Assists in shrink prevention by scanning damaged/stolen merchandise promptly.
• Keeps up with returns, vendor requests, recalls, paperwork, packing and shipping per company guidelines.
• Monitors refunds/returns and shrink, recording outcomes to minimize chargebacks.
• Maintains knowledge of company policies on damaged/recall merchandise and implements new store programs.
• Ensures invoicing controls are followed and payments are processed timely.
• Reviews exception reports and price-related checks.

Position Summary...

An Asset Protection Operations Team Associate maintains store financial integrity and accuracy, pricing integrity, inventory control and profitability. This associate coordinates and efficiently processes direct and local merchandise for delivery to the sales floor to ensure a positive shopping experience.

What you'll do...

1. Ensures high-ticket merchandise is properly secured in a designated location.
2. Processes direct and local shipments promptly, including OMNI merchandise, and alcohol and receiving of warehouse trailers.
3. Ensures a neat, clean and organized work area in receiving, claims, and offices.
4. Follows guidelines for cold chain compliance to ensure quality assurance including documenting all necessary information on the Receiving Temperature Log / Spark App.
5. Assists in Shrink prevention by scanning all damaged and stolen merchandise in a timely manner.
6. Maintains all up-to-date returns, vendor return requests (RA), recalls, paperwork, packing and shipping and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner and within any deadlines as per Company guidelines.Handle all SORT, and Global Donation Merchandise
7. Monitors merchandise being returned through claims and protect assets by ascertaining proper process and handling in regard to shrink, in order to keep charge backs to a minimum. Recording and monitoring returns and shrink wins within the store.
8. Maintains up to date knowledge about Company policies, guidelines and processes regarding the handling of damaged and recalled merchandises and ensures all New Store Programs and systems are implemented and followed on a continuous basis.
9. Ensures that the Invoicing key controls checklist is being followed by ensuring timely payments are made for merchandise and services.
10. Work exception reports MU/MD review, scanning exceptions, price override, and 2 cent report.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $16.85.
