Wal-Mart Canada Corp in Cambridge, ON is seeking an Asset Protection Associate to help maintain a safe store environment, prevent loss, and support store profitability. You will patrol the store, investigate incidents, assist in emergencies, and communicate findings to leadership.
The role involves enforcing policies, coordinating with market leaders, and performing duties to meet evolving asset protection priorities. Flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays are required.
The Asset Protection Associate plays a key role in creating and maintaining a safe, secure, and professional store environment for customers, associates, visitors, and vendors. By following Asset Protection standards and demonstrating positive, professional behaviour, this role helps prevent financial and physical loss, reduce shrink, and support store profitability. Through awareness, observation, and teamwork, the Asset Protection Associate helps protect people, merchandise, and the overall shopping experience.
Store Security and Loss Prevention
Conducts daily patrols of the store to help ensure a safe and secure environment. Verifies that doors, showcases, and security features are functioning properly and takes action as required.
Investigations and Case Support
Investigates incidents of financial and physical shrink and communicates findings to Store Leadership. For internal investigations, escalates information to the Market Loss Prevention Manager in accordance with Company guidelines. Conducts or supports investigations related to internal theft, external theft, organized retail crime, and cases assigned through Walmart Canada Global Ethics.
Emergency Response and Store Support
Supports store evacuation and emergency procedures during incidents such as fire or other emergencies. Participates in store task team responsibilities as required to support overall operations.
Enforcement and External Apprehensions
Carries out external apprehensions when required, in compliance with Company policies and legal standards.
Communication and Reporting
Gathers and communicates information from multiple sources, clearly explaining issues and findings to leadership and other stakeholders while presenting relevant perspectives.
Additional Duties
Completes additional responsibilities as required to support evolving business needs and Asset Protection priorities.
