Job Description

Position: Campus Vice Principal - Ontario, BC, and Manitoba

Location: Spirit of Math Headquarter Campus, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Responsibilities and Duties

The Vice Principal is responsible for:

  1. Ensuring compliance with and maintaining Spirit of Math brand and teaching standards.
  2. Adhering to all Spirit of Math policies and procedures.
  3. Planning and facilitating summer camps and campus events in collaboration with the Principal.
  4. Creating an encouraging and engaging learning environment.
  5. Interacting with and building a strong community among teachers, parents, and students.
  6. Addressing issues raised by parents and teachers professionally and promptly.
  7. Managing communication via emails and phone calls.
  8. Arranging student make-up and transfer processes.
  9. Maintaining campus resources and inventory, and reporting major issues to the Principal.
  10. Participating in training conferences, regional workshops, and mandatory events.
  11. Monitoring health and safety on campus.
  12. Conducting and assisting in teacher training sessions.
  13. Managing campus opening, closing, safety, and security.
  14. Delivering lessons and substitute teaching as needed.
  15. Holding weekly meetings with the Principal to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Authorities

The Vice Principal supports the Principal in:

  1. Managing daily campus operations.
  2. Hiring, evaluating, mentoring, and making decisions regarding staff.
  3. Supporting student admissions and registration processes.
  4. Organizing staff training and overseeing class schedules.
  5. Overseeing campus maintenance and addressing client inquiries.
  6. Training and supervising teaching staff to meet educational standards.
Qualifications and Skills

Experience: Leadership and management experience in education, with at least 1 year in a relevant role.

Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills; proficiency in MS Office; ability to multitask and prioritize.

Educational Requirements

A degree from a recognized college or university is required. A Bachelor of Education is an asset but not mandatory.

Reporting and Employment Details

Reporting to the Principal of Campus Operations or as needed.

Position is permanent, full-time (1.0 FTE).

Required training includes FTM1, FTM2, Train the Trainer, and Business Training programs.

Travel up to 5 times a week to different campuses is required.

Work hours are from noon to 8:00 PM, up to five days a week.
