Job summary

Skeena Gold + Silver Limited is seeking a Camp Maintenance Technician to service Eskay Creek Mine site in a remote BC camp. You will perform preventative maintenance, operate the water treatment plant, and support site infrastructure to ensure a safe, clean environment for personnel.

Responsibilities include inspections, repairs, recordkeeping, and coordination with contractors. A valid EOCP WTP Level I and Class 5 license are required, with a 15/13 shift rotation and remote-location logistics.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in mining/remote camp or similar.
  • Possess and maintain EOCP Water Treatment Plant Operator Level I Certification.
  • Experience operating and maintaining water treatment systems.
  • Experience performing general building maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
  • Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on camp facilities, kitchens, offices, warehouses and infrastructure.
  • Operate, inspect, monitor, and maintain the Camp Water Treatment Plant and potable water distribution systems.
  • Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, work orders, water treatment logs, and regulatory documentation.
  • Respond to maintenance requests promptly to keep camp facilities safe and functional.
  • Assist with seasonal maintenance activities and emergency response.

Job Title: Camp Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

Reporting to the Site Maintenance Manager , the Camp Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining camp facilities and supporting site infrastructure to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment for all personnel. As a member of the Site Maintenance Team, this position performs preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs throughout camp accommodations, kitchen and dining facilities, offices, warehouses, and supporting infrastructure.

In addition, the Camp Maintenance Technician is responsible for the operation, monitoring, inspection, and maintenance of the camp Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and associated potable water systems, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and Skeena Gold + Silver policies and procedures.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Camp Facilities & Building Maintenance

  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on camp accommodations, buildings, kitchens, dining facilities, offices, recreational facilities, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Complete general maintenance activities including basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, drywall repairs, fixture replacement, and minor electrical repairs within the scope of training.
  • Respond to maintenance requestsin a timely mannerto ensure camp facilitiesremainsafe, clean, and operational.
  • Conduct routine inspections toidentifydeficiencies and complete corrective actions asrequired.
  • Assistwith seasonal maintenance activities, including snow removal,groundsmaintenance, and infrastructure inspections.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and functional camp environment for all site personnel.
  • Operate, inspect,monitor, andmaintainthe camp Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and associated potable water distribution systems.
  • Perform daily operational checks, water quality testing, sampling, and system inspections.

Maintenance Support & Site Services

  • Troubleshoot maintenance issues and coordinate repairs with contractors or specialized service providers asrequired.
  • Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, work orders, water treatment logs, and regulatory documentation.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance tools, supplies, and spare parts.
  • Safelyoperatehand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Support site maintenance activities andassistother departments asrequired.
  • Participate in emergency response activities asrequired.
  • Perform other duties as reasonably assigned.

Health, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities

  • Follow all Skeena Gold + Silver health, safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in toolbox meetings, hazard assessments, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identifyand report hazards, unsafe conditions, and maintenance concerns.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental stewardship.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, andindustry best practices.

The Ideal Candidate

Education / Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of5 years of experience performing maintenance in a mining, industrial, construction, remote camp, or similar environment.
  • The successful candidate mustpossessand maintain a valid British Columbia Environmental Operators Certification Program (EOCP) Water Treatment Plant Operator Level I Certification.
  • Experienceoperatingand maintaining water treatment systems.
  • Experience performing general building maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
  • Mustpossessa valid Class 5 Driver’sLicence.

Work Location & Conditions

This is a site-based camp job at Eskay Creek Mine site. This position involves working at a remote mine site ona15dayson/13 daysoff rotation.

The Eskay Creek Revitalization Project islocatedwithin the Coast Mountains of Northwestern British Columbia and Tahltan Territory. Ground transportation will be provided from local communities to the Eskay Creek Site facilities. For those applicantslocatedelsewhere in western Canada, flight transportation from major urban centers will be provided to the Terrace or Smithers airports, from which shuttles will provide transportation to the Eskay Creek Camp facilities. Travel time and expenses are subject to Skeena’s Travel Policy.

There will be exposure to extreme temperatures in all seasons including working outdoors in snow, mud, ice, and water conditions, walking to and fromdifferent locationson uneven ground, prolonged periods of standing and physically handling/lifting/moving heavy objects.

Compensation

The expected hourly range for this position is CAD $38 - $57, in line with the competitive job market for such roles carried out in British Columbia. Salary ranges are guidelines, and any job offer received by a candidate will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant education, training, and/or experience.
