Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in news production and/or outdoor broadcasting.
  • Strong editing skills and knowledge of camera operations.

Your mandate
As a Caméraman JE/VL, you will operate autonomous portable cameras and peripherals to create shots and visual effects through original framing and camera angles. You will respond to and anticipate the production's objectives and artistic or dramatic intentions. You will also coordinate equipment setup and checks, and operate the transfer of collected material.

Additional notes
You will be required to work various shifts during weekdays and weekends.

Profile sought
Qualifications:
  • College diploma (DEC) in television production techniques and post-production or other relevant DEC;
  • Three (3) years or more of related experience in news production and/or outdoor broadcasting.
Skills:
  • Extensive editing experience (Avid and Premiere is an asset);
  • Knowledge in editing, audio, lighting, camera, and IT;
  • Excellent command of spoken and written French;
  • Ability to work effectively within a team;
  • Creativity and initiative;
  • Ability to make quick, autonomous decisions;
  • Interest and knowledge of current events in Estrie;
  • Experience in digital production, an asset;
  • Good knowledge of English, an asset;
  • Valid driver's license (class 5) and a driving record meeting CBC/Radio-Canada's insurance criteria.
