Job description

Calypso is Canada’s biggest and best waterpark facility, located in Eastern Ontario, halfway between Ottawa and Montreal. It is the perfect place for summertime fun!

Candidates must have their own transportation, as there is no public transit to the park.

Department: Maintenance Operations

Availability: Monday to Sunday, various hours and holidays

Position Type: Seasonal

Reports To: Manager, Maintenance Operations

Job Description:

Calypso tubes and pool attendants ensure all rafts are afloat by testing PSI and patching leaks. They also maintain pool cleanliness through regular vacuuming and cleaning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to assigned work area on time and adhere to the dress code
  • Follow grooming standards set by the company and department
  • Vacuum and clean water attractions daily, working alone or in pairs
  • Identify leaks, patch, and reinflate tubes; log repaired tubes
  • Return reinflated tubes to their attractions

Management may assign additional duties as needed, depending on circumstances such as emergencies or workload changes.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Ability to work on holidays and weekends
  • Minimum age of 15 years old; seeking 18-year-olds with a Class-G license to drive golf carts; 16-year-olds to be helpers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
  • Team player, organized, detail-oriented
  • Previous experience in a bike or auto shop as a helper or cleaner is preferred

Environmental Conditions:

  • Position involves temperature fluctuations and exposure to extreme heat, cold, dryness, or humidity
  • Occasional work around wetness, chemicals, mechanical hazards, moving objects, and fumes

Physical Demands:

Employees must be able to stand or walk for long periods, work outdoors, and perform manual tasks requiring dexterity, coordination, and strength, including lifting up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
