• Previous experience working in a learning environment with youth with learning challenges and/or social-emotional needs.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate and/or WEVAS Certificate [Working Effectively with Violent and Aggressive Students], (or willingness to work towards this).
• All applicants should have compassion and patience for students who face learning challenges and must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues to support student learning.
• Applicants must have an active Christian faith that shapes their life.
• Applicants must have a High School Diploma
• Preference will be given to candidates with EAL training.

Part-time Educational Assistant (0.5 FTE)

Calvin Christian School – Collegiate Campus is accepting applications for a part-time Educational Assistant (0.5 FTE). Educational Assistants work as team members with student services staff and classroom teachers to enable students with a variety of learning needs to experience success in the school community. Areas of responsibility will include working in a classroom while supporting multiple students or working with students who need one-on-one support. Employment opportunity begins as soon as possible.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Education Assistant Certificate (or equivalent)
• Previous experience working in a learning environment with youth with learning challenges and/or social-emotional needs
