Overview

Are you passionate about supporting student success in a respectful and inclusive learning environment? NBCC is currently seeking Invigilators across all campus locations to help uphold academic integrity and provide essential support during exams.

Location: All NBCC Campus Locations

Position Type: Casual

Hours: On an As Needed Basis

Rate of Pay: $17.00/hour

Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Head of Accessibility and Inclusion Services, Invigilators play a key role in ensuring a fair and distraction-free testing environment. This includes supervising exams, supporting students with accommodations, and maintaining compliance with NBCC policies.
  • Supervise exams in a quiet, focused environment
  • Ensure adherence to NBCC policies and academic integrity standards
  • Prevent unauthorized access to test materials
  • Manage and return exam resources to instructors
  • Provide support such as scribing or reading questions when required
  • Apply basic communication techniques to support students during stressful exam situations
Qualifications
  • High school diploma (or equivalent); some post-secondary education preferred
  • Effective communication skills
  • Demonstrated integrity and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in a post-secondary setting and knowledge of assistive technologies are considered strong assets

Successful candidates must complete NBCC-provided training on accessibility and disability-related services.
