Job summary

Eddyfi Technologies in Québec seeks an Electronic Calibration and Maintenance Technician to calibrate, repair, and maintain a broad range of advanced equipment in our laboratory. You will ensure strict adherence to metrology standards and internal procedures.

Expected duties include documentation, client communication on repair status, and occasional field travel, with PA UT technology exposure and inventory management as part of the role.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electronics, Physical Measurements, or Instrumentation.
  • Experience in after-sales service or electronic maintenance preferred.
  • Strong skills in electronic repair and calibration.

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration, preventive maintenance, and electronic repairs adhering to internal procedures.
  • Diagnose faults, replace components, and conduct final quality control.
  • Work on equipment including Phased Array UT (PA UT) technologies and other product lines.
  • Maintain precise documentation for every intervention.
  • Communicate with clients about repair status and follow-up.
  • Track spare parts and tools, and manage inventory.
  • Identify irregularities in calibration processes and report them.
  • Use precision tools in line with metrology standards.
  • Work mainly in the workshop with occasional field travel.

As Calibration & Repair Technician, you will have to :
  • Perform calibration, preventive maintenance, and electronic repairs while strictly adhering to internal procedures.
  • Diagnose malfunctions, replace components (including electronic boards), and carry out final quality control.
  • Work on various equipment, including Phased Array UT (PA UT) technologies and other product lines.
  • Ensure precise and complete documentation for each intervention.
  • Manage client communications, providing updates on repair statuses and technical follow-ups.
  • Handle inventory-related tasks, such as tracking spare parts and tools.
  • Identify and report any irregularities in calibration processes.
  • Use precision tools and measurement devices while adhering to metrology standards.
  • Work primarily in the workshop, with occasional field trips as needed.

  • You hold a degree in Electronics, Physical Measurements, or Instrumentation
  • You have at least two years of experience in after-sales service or electronic maintenance.
  • You are strongmy skilled in electronic repair.
  • You knowledge of metrology is a serious asset.

  • You can make yourself available for occasional travel .
Key Responsibilities :
  • Perform calibration, preventive maintenance, and electronic equipment repair in strict accordance with internal procedures.
  • Diagnose faults, replace components (including electronic boards), and carry out final quality control.
  • Work on a variety of equipment, including Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PA UT) technology and other product lines.
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation for every operation performed.
  • Maintain communication with customers, providing repair status updates and technical follow-up.
  • Handle inventory-related tasks such as tracking spare parts and tools.
  • Identify and report any anomalies encountered during the calibration process.
  • Use precision tools and measuring instruments while strictly complying with metrology standards.
  • Work primarily in the workshop, with occasional travel as required .
