Job summary

V2Soft is seeking an Engine OBD Calibration Engineer for our Windsor, Ontario site. You will support engine diagnostic calibration, verification, and validation activities to meet CARB regulations.

Responsibilities include developing calibration solutions, testing, data analysis, and reporting. The role requires hands-on engineering experience, MATLAB proficiency, and collaboration across engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering experience in OBD calibration or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Strong knowledge of MATLAB.
• Experience with Simulink / Stateflow.
• Basic understanding of gasoline propulsion system hardware and operation.
• Experience in engine calibration, diagnostics, controls, or powertrain development.

Engine OBD Calibration Engineer

Location: Windsor, ON - Onsite

Role Overview

We are looking for a Powertrain Engine OBD Calibration Engineer to support engine diagnostic calibration, verification, and validation activities.

The engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing calibration solutions, performing diagnostic verification testing, and managing technical aspects of OBD diagnostic calibrations to meet CARB regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement OBD diagnostic calibration solutions
• Perform diagnostic verification and validation testing
• Calibrate diagnostic thresholds to meet CARB requirements
• Support development of robust diagnostic systems
• Collect, analyze, and interpret vehicle/system data using standard instrumentation
• Prepare technical reports, test summaries, and timing projections
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams
• Support system validation in hot-weather and altitude environments

Required Skills

• 3+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
• Strong knowledge of MATLAB
• Experience with Simulink / Stateflow
• Basic understanding of gasoline propulsion system hardware and operation
