REALIGN LLC is seeking an experienced ECU Software Developer in a hybrid work setting in Toronto. You will develop ECU software across the full lifecycle using Model-Based Systems Engineering, MATLAB/Simulink, and MISRA C standards, supporting calibration and production releases.

Ideal candidates bring embedded automotive expertise, MIL testing, and hands-on experience with RTW/TargetLink, DOORS, and ClearCase, pursuing robust software validation and timely software integration.

Qualifications

  • Experience in ECU software development for automotive embedded systems.
  • Hands-on Model-Based Development using MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Experience with MIL testing and auto-code generation.
  • Knowledge of MAAB guidelines and MISRA C.
  • Experience with AUTOSAR-compliant application development.
  • Familiar with RTW/TargetLink, DOORS, and ClearCase.
  • Calibrate and validate automotive software; debugging skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop ECU software using Model-Based Systems Engineering approach.
  • Manage the complete ECU software development lifecycle: requirements, development, testing, debugging, releases.
  • Develop MBD solutions for ECUs such as BCM, HPCM, ABS, ADAS, HVAC.
  • Perform plant modeling and design control algorithms for dynamic systems.
  • Create model integration frameworks for MIL testing.
  • Develop models and applications using MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Follow MAAB guidelines and MISRA C coding standards.
  • Support ECU calibration and software validation.
  • Work with tools such as RTW/TargetLink, DOORS, ClearCase.
  • Develop AUTOSAR-compliant application software.
  • Troubleshoot defects and support software integration and production releases.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ECU Software Developer with strong automotive domain expertise and hands-on experience in Model-Based Development (MBD). The role involves developing ECU software across the complete lifecycle, from requirements and model development through testing, calibration, defect resolution, and production release.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop ECU software using a Model-Based Systems Engineering approach
  • Manage the complete ECU software development lifecycle, including requirements, development, testing, debugging, and production releases
  • Develop MBD solutions for ECUs such as BCM, HPCM, ABS, ADAS, and HVAC
  • Perform plant modeling and design control algorithms for dynamic systems
  • Create model integration frameworks for Model-in-the-Loop (MIL) testing
  • Develop models and applications using MATLAB/Simulink
  • Follow MAAB guidelines and MISRA C coding standards
  • Support ECU calibration and software validation
  • Work with tools such as RTW/TargetLink, DOORS, and ClearCase
  • Develop AUTOSAR-compliant application software

Required Skills
  • Strong experience in ECU software development and automotive embedded systems

  • Experience with AUTOSAR-compliant application development

  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and software testing skills
Preferred Skills
