Job summary

TAPP Workforce Solutions is seeking a Sonographer for a diagnostic imaging client in Calgary, Alberta. The clinic delivers advanced musculoskeletal, obstetrical, vascular, and interventional imaging with a patient-centered approach.

Position involves providing compassionate care, obtaining histories, and performing exams with attention to safety. Shifts are Monday–Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends based on needs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate from a recognized Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Registration in good standing with Sonography Canada.
• Experience in a clinic or hospital setting is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, compassionate care to create an exceptional patient experience.
• Anticipate patient needs, answer questions, and maintain a comfortable, safe clinical environment.
• Review examinations for appropriateness and patient eligibility.
• Obtain patient history and educate patients on upcoming exams.
• Demonstrate competence in abdominal, obstetrical, small parts, venous, carotid Doppler, and assist with interventional procedures.
• Additional competencies—musculoskeletal, arterial Doppler, transrectal, and neuro sonography—considered an asset.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with strong independent judgment.
• Apply critical thinking when assessing complex pathologies.
• Communicate clearly with staff and patients.
• Contribute to a collaborative, team-focused environment within the ultrasound department and across the clinic.
