Job summary

PSP Investments | Investissements PSP seeks a Senior Manager, CGFIM, based in Calgary, to lead end-to-end investments aligned with the Canada Growth Fund mandate. You will shape sector priorities, provide authoritative advice, and influence asset-management decisions across CGFIM.

The role requires 7+ years in energy/clean-tech investment, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage complex diligence across multiple workstreams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or related fields.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience within conventional energy, renewable energy, clean-tech investing, infrastructure and/or investment banking/corporate finance/transaction services.
• Experience in impact investing would be an asset but not required.
• Execution skills across business development, investment analysis on complex transactions; with broad due diligence experience across workstreams (commercial, financial, strategic, operational, legal).
• Intellectually curiosity, self-motivated and possessing strong analytical skills.
• Highly collegial, collaborative and supportive; comfortable with shared decision-making processes.
• Strong written and verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong communication skills in English are required; French language skills are considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end investment activities for the CGF mandate and influence asset-management decisions.
• Oversee multiple diligence workstreams and review financial & operational models.
• Prepare investment recommendation papers for internal approval.
• Take lead in investment documentation and bid tactics; demonstrate negotiation skills.
• Manage project timelines, budgets and workplans with consultants and team.
• Coach junior team members and support team performance improvements.
• Cultivate internal and external stakeholder relationships for opportunity identification.
