Sinopec Canada, based in Calgary, is seeking a Production Accountant to manage accounting for operated and non-operated properties. You will apply extensive industry knowledge to gather, process, and report information to the Manager, Production Accounting.

You will liaise with field staff, Measurement and Engineering to confirm oil and gas splits, record revenues and royalties, and ensure AER and JV reporting accuracy. The role values detail, teamwork, and integrity.

Competenze

• Experience in production accounting for oil and gas.
• Proficiency with PAS, Petrinex, ProdView, Qbyte FM, and LandView.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities and deadline focus.

Mansioni

• Prepare all regulatory reports and meet reporting deadlines.
• Liaise with field staff, Measurement, and Engineering regarding issues that may affect production.
• Determine crude oil and natural gas splits as required.
• Record monthly revenues and royalty obligations and code third-party fees for the JV Department.
• Ensure freehold and gross overriding royalties are calculated correctly.
• Resolve AER reporting compliance issues while working with the Measurement Department on the EPAP, CAR, and PAD government reports.
• Maintain familiarity with property schematics to ensure proper setup of properties in the production accounting system.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations and clear outstanding balances.
• Respond to queries from the Finance Department, external auditors, and senior management.
• Support company objectives, values, standards of ethics and integrity.
