A local educational institution in Dartmouth seeks a Cafeteria Food Service Worker to handle food preparation and service in line with health guidelines. The position requires a valid driver's license and involves maintaining food safety, serving in a fast-paced environment, and coordinating with supervisors. Starting pay is $20.85 per hour.
The Cafeteria Food Service Worker is responsible for food preparation and service for the school community within the guidelines of the School Food and Nutrition Policy. They will be committed to promoting healthy eating, food equity and local, minimally processed foods in the school cafeteria. The Cafeteria Worker will work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and reports to the Lead Cafeteria Worker, School Principal or designate. Ensure food safety standards are followed at all times.
6 hrs / day
Valid Nova Scotia Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle required to travel to assigned area schools.
The position is classified on the Education Entities Non-Union Compensation Framework at Band 1 with a starting hourly wage of $20.85.
