Prado Cafe is hiring a Manager for our location on Dunbar Street in Vancouver. We’re looking for an experienced leader who understands the craft of specialty coffee, excels at operational execution, and knows how to build strong, motivated teams. If you lead with intention, thrive in fast-paced environments, and care about creating warm, inviting cafe spaces, this could be the role for you.

Who you are:

  • A leader with experience managing teams in a fast paced, cafe setting
  • Someone who takes pride in quality - on bar, on shift, and across the team.
  • You know great coffee and care deeply about quality, consistency, and training.
  • Organized, strategic, and able to balance people-first leadership with business accountability.
  • Someone who leads by example, communicates clearly, and sets a high standard for service and operations.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading a high-performance team through hiring, coaching, and development.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the cafe, ensuring smooth service and quality coffee execution.
  • Managing scheduling, labour targets, inventory, and ordering.
  • Driving store performance by setting clear goals, tracking key metrics, and sharing progress and successes with the team.
  • Acting as a coffee role model, consistently demonstrating Prado’s values and coffee standards.

What you bring:

  • 1+ years in a leadership role in a cafe.
  • Solid understanding of coffee preparation and a commitment to elevating the guest experience.
  • Proficiency with staff scheduling tools, inventory tracking, and basic financial reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Food Safe Level 1 certification.
  • Availability for a flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, and weekends.
