Four Seasons Hotel Toronto is hiring a Part-Time Bartender for Café Boulud. You will deliver exceptional beverage service, greet guests warmly, and uphold luxury standards in a fine dining setting.

Applicants must have Smart Serve certification, be at least of legal age, and possess strong English communication. The role requires standing and lifting up to 50 lbs, with shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of bartending experience, ideally in fine dining or luxury settings.
• Smart Serve certification is mandatory.
• Must be of legal drinking age to serve alcohol.
• Strong English communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide beverages with prompt and courteous service to guests.
• Greet guests, ensure a welcoming experience and maintain high service standards.
• Liaise with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate service and knowledge of offerings.
• Maintain bar stock, cleanliness and safety; lift up to 50 lbs.

About the role:

Chef Daniel Boulud brings modern French dining with classic technique to Toronto at Café Boulud, a French restaurant and brasserie offering bistro-inspired cuisine and signature rotisserie dishes. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch menus celebrate French classics with a Canadian twist.

The Bartender is an essential member of the Café Boulud team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. They assure each guest is greeted promptly, courteously, graciously with eye contact and a smile. They provide guests and servers with quick and efficient beverage service, following the provincial and city alcohol law while adhering to Café Boulud's standards of service. The individual will have a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar and will ensure that all the details of service are performed properly and that every guest receives the highest quality of service.

What you will bring:

We are looking for individuals with excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. Strong beverage knowledge regarding beer, wine and liquor is required. The Bartender is also required to perform additional side duties and assist in the absence of a bar porter or bar server if necessary. The candidate must be of legal age to serve alcohol. The ideal candidate will have a confident, outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request. The position requires continuous standing for the majority of the shift and requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs. Applicants must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.

Smart Serve certification is a must.

Preferred qualifications & skills:

• At minimum 1 year of previous bartending experience, ideally in a fine dining or luxury environment
• Exceptional communication skills, command of English language and personal confidence
• Additional language a definite asset for career growth

Hourly rate of pay of $17.95 plus gratuity.

Schedule & Hours:

Successful candidates have the ability to work at least 3 shifts a week from 10:30am- 4:00pm including weekends and holidays.
