Job summary

Best Western Plus Fernie is seeking a dedicated breakfast cook to prepare and serve a complimentary hotel breakfast. You will maintain a clean breakfast area and ensure a smooth operation for guests each day.

The role requires basic cooking skills, Food Safe and Serve It Right certifications, and the ability to work long hours, including weekends and holidays. Staff accommodation is available as part of the benefits.

Qualifications

• Basic cooking skills.
• Valid Food Safe certification.
• Valid Serve It Right certification.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Must be able to work long hours if needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Good at handling multiple tasks at once.
• Able to talk and work well with guests and co-workers.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Cook basic breakfast foods like eggs, sausage, bacon and waffles.
• Keep drink stations filled with coffee, juice, and milk.
• Set up breakfast items like muffins, cereal, and pastries for guests to help themselves.
• Clean and clear tables when guests are done eating.
• Wipe up any spills.
• Take out the trash.
• Wash and store dishes and serving tools.
• Put away any leftover food with proper labels.
• Refill food and supplies when they run low.
• Follow all health and safety rules for food preparation and cleanliness.
• Keep track of what food and supplies are needed each day.

Job Overview:
