Job summary

R.J. Burnside & Associates Limited is seeking a Civil Engineering Technician to join a collaborative team in Ontario.

You will assist with designing and drafting municipal infrastructure, site servicing, grading, and stormwater projects, and develop Civil 3D drawings for facilities and site plans. The role supports project managers through detailed design and construction phases, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technician program, or a Bachelor of Engineering degree.
• Experience or interest in municipal infrastructure, site development, grading, stormwater management, and municipal servicing design.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving problems and takes pride in doing quality work.

You’ll succeed if you have:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technician program, or a Bachelor of Engineering degree.
• Experience or interest in municipal infrastructure, site development, grading, stormwater management, and municipal servicing design.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

It’s a bonus if you also have:

• Previous co-op, internship, or professional experience supporting municipal, land development, Facilities, or ICI projects.
• Knowledge of Ontario municipal design standards, site plan approvals, or construction administration processes.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000

The final compensation offered will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
