The primary purpose of this role is the production of CAD drawings under the mentorship and guidance of the Team Leads. What you will do:
- Produce and maintain legal survey plans, municipal plans, civil plans, photo mosaics.
- Record drawings and manage the collection, analysis, storage, distribution, and application of spatial and three-dimensional data used in land development.
- Understand assignment requirements and allocate time appropriately to meet project deadlines.
- Self-check assignments before submitting drawings to the CAD Team Lead for final approval.
- Adhere to current CAD standards and provide feedback as needed.
- Follow departmental check sheets and workflow procedures.
- Ensure drawings meet client timelines and deliverables.
- Assist in the development of CAD standards and procedures.
- Support the CAD Team Lead in coordinating and mentoring junior staff regarding CAD standards and accuracy requirements.
What you will bring:
- Diploma or Degree in Geomatics Engineering Technology, Engineering Design & Drafting Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or related discipline; or certification in CAD courses.
- 5+ years of experience drafting survey plans.
- Member in good standing or eligibility for registration with a local Survey or Technologist Association.
- Understanding of CAD requirements on various surveying projects.
- Proficiency in Windows, MS Office, latest versions of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Coordinate Geometry software.
- Knowledge of civil engineering design components, alignments, grading, volumes, and site construction works.
- Knowledge of legal plan requirements and the use of Land Title and Survey Authority website.
- A desire to learn and expand your skills on a variety of projects.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, especially under strict deadlines.
- Ability to import field data and create survey plans.
- Understanding of technological basics and the ability to maintain high production levels.
