Your work environment at EXP

EXP’s Infrastructure & Transportation Practice offers planning, design, and construction engineering services for roadways, bridges, water resources, rail, transit, and aviation projects. We have a history of delivering complex infrastructure projects in the Chicagoland region. We are seeking a motivated CAD Delivery Lead for our Chicago office to support the CTA’s RLE Design-Build project, reporting to the Civil Department Manager and working in a hybrid work setting.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

1. Develop, implement, and monitor CAD design standards and procedures with the project team.
2. Resolve technical issues, provide training, and oversee CAD system and quality issues.
3. Identify workflow efficiency opportunities and recommend improvements.
4. Suggest best practices to meet or exceed project requirements.
5. Train and supervise CAD users on core application skills and standards.
6. Maintain documentation of design deliverables.
7. Foster positive relationships within the organization, vendors, clients, and stakeholders.
8. Ensure project documentation and contracts comply with client standards.

What Your Experience Looks Like

1. Minimum of 7+ years of practical experience.
2. College diploma in a related field preferred.
3. Strong understanding of AutoCAD, CADWorx, SolidWorks, NavisWorks, and SmartPlant.
4. Experience with 3D CAD development and rendering is desirable.
5. Proficiency in MS Office.
6. Excellent people skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
8. Experience in engineering or construction industries is preferred.
9. Ability to work under stress, meet deadlines, and perform repetitive tasks.
