Job description

About Casey's Creative Kitchens

At Casey's Creative Kitchens, we believe kitchens are the backdrop of life, where morning routines, family dinners, and lasting memories are made. For over 48 years, we've been designing and crafting custom cabinetry across Southwestern Ontario, guided by one simple principle: form follows function.

From design and custom cabinetry to stone countertop fabrication, we offer a complete approach to transforming spaces. Now in our second generation of family ownership, we've grown to an 82,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility and a team of more than 100 skilled professionals, all while staying true to the values the company was built on.

If you're looking to join a team that takes pride in craftsmanship, values collaboration, and believes in continuous improvement, we'd love to hear from you.

Where You Come In

As a Cabinet Engineering Technician, you'll play an important role in transforming approved cabinetry designs into detailed production drawings that guide our manufacturing team. Working closely with our Sales, Engineering, and Production teams, you'll help ensure every project is accurate, functional, and ready for production.

This is a technical, behind-the-scenes role with no client-facing responsibilities. Every project we build is custom, giving you the opportunity to solve unique challenges, collaborate across departments, and see your work come to life on the production floor.

As a Cabinet Engineering Technician, you will:
  • Create detailed shop drawings, assembly drawings, and part drawings using CAD software (currently Cabinet Vision).
  • Translate customer-approved designs and site measurements into production-ready drawings.
  • Ensure drawings meet company standards and align with manufacturing capabilities.
  • Apply cabinet construction knowledge to produce drawings that are functional, manufacturable, and structurally sound.
  • Specify joinery methods, material selections, hardware placement, and finishing details.
  • Identify and resolve design-to-production challenges, including appliance clearances, installation considerations, and cabinet functionality.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Production teams to ensure projects move efficiently through each stage of the manufacturing process.
  • Maintain accurate drawing revisions and documentation throughout the production process.
What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, pays close attention to detail, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience using Cabinet Vision, 20/20, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software is preferred.
  • Candidates with strong drafting experience and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and design drawings.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in custom cabinetry, woodworking, drafting, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Understanding of cabinet construction, woodworking materials, and joinery techniques.
  • Experience with Cabinet Vision or similar cabinetry software.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and building code considerations related to cabinetry.

While experience in custom cabinetry is an asset, we're willing to invest in the right individual who demonstrates strong technical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and a desire to build a long-term career with Casey's Creative Kitchens.

What We Offer
  • Fair and competitive wages
  • A culture of continuous learning
  • A team committed to community and giving back
  • Steady business growth
  • Health Spending Account
  • Life Insurance and AD&D Insurance
  • Paid vacation
  • Paid sick time
  • RRSP Matching Program
  • Safety Boot/Shoe Reimbursement Plan
