What to expect in the role:

This position involves working with an individual with Autism Spectrum Disorder, supporting them in household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and accompanying them to places like local parks. A key responsibility is driving, ensuring transportation around the city to activities while maintaining a safe and supportive environment that fosters growth and enjoyment. The role also includes creating a positive atmosphere at the client's home, offering guidance, and supporting their development. Attentive listening and patience are essential, as the individual enjoys engaging in discussions. The environment may involve schedule changes, outdoor activities, low-light settings at home, and regular team meetings, requiring adaptability. Supporting a legally blind client around the house also necessitates comfort and flexibility, along with a nurturing approach.

Schedule & Pay:

Your home can be located anywhere throughout the city as long as it is transit accessible. The individual prefers not to live with young children or in a large family. Privacy is important, and a bedroom on a separate floor or away from busy areas is preferred. The client has a workbench for projects that requires space.
