Job description

The Team
At the Fraser South Child and Youth Eating Disorder Program, you'll join a dedicated team comprising three clinicians, a physician, psychiatrist, dietitian, and healthcare worker, along with a team leader and administrative staff. We work collaboratively to support children, youth, and families aged 8-19 navigating eating disorders through evidence-based and goal-oriented support. Our diverse team values knowledge-sharing and mutual support, partnering closely with schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations. We provide a welcoming and respectful environment where individuals can feel safe and supported to serve the diverse families within the Fraser South communities.

The Role
In this position, you will supervise a team of six clinicians providing direct clinical services, including intake, assessment, treatment, and crisis intervention for children, youth, and families. You will collaborate with team members, community agencies, schools, hospitals, and other ministry programs. Your work will involve conducting individual, group, and family therapy, leading your team in delivering a family engagement model of service to youth and their families, fostering confidence in their ability to navigate change and recover from eating disorders. This role offers a hybrid work model, allowing up to one day per week working from home based on flexible work agreements.

Qualifications: Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing, licensed to practice under the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Note: If obtained outside Canada, your education must be assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES). You must provide a basic report by the closing date of this posting to be considered.
  • Experience providing mental health services to children, youth, and their families.
  • Experience supervising staff.
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s license with no restrictions or equivalent from another Canadian province.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Two or more years of experience providing mental health services for eating disorders to children, youth, and their families.
  • Six or more months of supervisory experience (supervising practicum students is not considered equivalent).

About this Position:
One full-time permanent position available. Flexible work options include working up to one day at home per week, subject to an approved telework agreement.
