Job description

As a C#.NET Software Engineer at Ascom, you will join our R&D team to enhance our Patient Systems solutions for healthcare. Your role involves solving complex problems by developing or adapting software products.

You will understand project goals and develop software to expand Ascom’s product offerings, working within a cross-functional, multinational team and collaborating closely with the R&D department.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Designing and implementing software solutions focusing on functionality, reliability, performance, and timely delivery.
  2. Understanding customer and stakeholder requirements and translating them into software features.
  3. Providing estimates and assisting product owners in solution selection.
  4. Supporting customer issue resolution and maintaining existing products through refactoring.
  5. Converting functional requirements into technical specifications.
  6. Participating in code reviews and collaborating on technological and process improvements.
  7. Creating technical and user documentation.
  8. Staying updated with relevant technological developments.
  9. Collaborating within a cross-functional, international team.

Ideal candidates will have:

  1. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related field.
  2. 1-3 years of software design and programming experience.
  3. Experience with agile development and lifecycle management.
  4. Proficiency in C# .NET, ASP.NET, Web APIs (.NET Core preferred), Entity Framework, and SQL Server.
  5. Experience with DevOps, unit testing, object-oriented design, and best coding practices.
  6. Strong communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  7. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
