C# Developer (Capital Markets Experience) (contract)

Position Overview: The C# Developer with Capital Markets Experience will be responsible for developing and optimizing pricing infrastructure for Global Equity Derivatives. This involves working on distributed pricing systems, risk management tools, workflow automation, and process migration. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in C#, multi-threading, and SQL Server, with preferred experience in Capital Markets, C++, and Python.

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Visa Requirements: Must be eligible to work in Ontario, Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement scalable pricing infrastructure for Global Equity Derivatives.
  • Migrate production processes and coordinate implementation with support teams.
  • Revamp existing technology to improve efficiency, scalability, and performance.
  • Optimize CI / CD pipelines to enhance software delivery and deployment.
User Adoption & Support
  • Assist users with training and onboarding for new solutions.
  • Provide technical documentation, release notes, and post-implementation support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, enhancing support tooling and documentation.
System & Process Enhancement
  • Design and develop risk management tools and automation solutions.
  • Profile, analyze, and optimize system performance and resource utilization.
  • Identify system deficiencies and collaborate with stakeholders to implement solutions.
Collaboration & Reporting
  • Work closely with traders, quants, and global technology teams.
  • Provide regular updates to management and technical teams.
  • Participate in code reviews, impact assessments, and development of specifications.
Technical Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in C# development, with a focus on multi-threading.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server for database development and optimization.
  • Experience with distributed computing and real-time systems.
  • Knowledge of SDLC, CI / CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
Industry Experience
  • Capital Markets experience preferred, especially in equity derivatives.
  • Experience in risk management and pricing infrastructure for financial instruments.
Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with DataSynapse Grid computing.
  • C++ or Python skills.
  • Knowledge of KEDA (Kubernetes-based Event Driven Autoscaling).
  • Understanding of equity derivatives and financial risk calculations.
