C&A Group is actively recruiting Industrial Mechanics (Millwrights) and Helpers to join our rapidly expanding and dynamic team of Millwright professionals in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.

Wage: Base Journey-person Rate - Up to $42.00/hr

Millwrights and Millwright Helpers are required to perform some or all the following duties:

  1. Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  2. Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces, and generators according to layout plans.
  3. Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes and jacks to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up, and repair of machinery.
  4. Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
  5. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  6. Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
  7. Track and tension belts and chains as required for the purposes of conveying product or driving equipment.
  8. Operate machine tools such as lathes and milling machines to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machinery.
  9. Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
  10. Construct foundations for machinery or direct other workers to construct foundations.
  11. Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
  12. Have a strong willingness to coach and mentor other trades-persons as directed or required.
