Serve as a long-line pilot-in-command (PIC) on a BV 107 in support of one or more of Columbia’s flight operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Operate aircraft to the highest standard, safety, and efficiency:
o Utilizing sound aeronautical decision making (ADM), risk management, and situational awareness (SA).
o In accordance with company policy, regulations, and guidance.
· Orchestrate the flight operation and the activities of all personnel under the scope of their responsibility.
· Represent the company in a positive manner in all activities.
· Promote Columbia’s core values and integrity while in conduct of their duties.
o Meet customer expectations to ensure the highest possible customer service.
o Actively identify and mitigate safety concerns and/or risks.
o Seek opportunities for improvement and productivity.
· Coordinate and supports the project team.
o Perform any required administrative functions.
o Assist wherever possible in the overall success of the operation.
o Keep Columbia management and other interested parties informed of job activities or other relevant information.
· Serves as Project Lead in the absence of the Site Manager.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the V.P. of Aerial Operations, Director of Flight Operations, Chief Pilot, and Assistant Chief Pilot.
· Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Commercial Pilot License or higher with Rotorcraft-Helicopter class rating
· Current Class II (or higher) FAA medical certification
· Currency in the appropriate type aircraft
· Type rating(s) required by aircraft
· US or equivalent passport
· 1,000 hours PIC
· Able to work in austere environments for prolonged periods (28 days)
· Ability to work without supervision
· Ability to work in a team, high stress environment
· Supervisory skills
· On call 24/7 via company cell phone when on shift
