Profile

We are currently seeking a Buyer – Subcontracts to join our Line Logistics team in Victoria, BC. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the completion of subcontract services for manufactured parts at outside vendors, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to De Havilland’s quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and Purchase Orders (POs) for goods and services
  • Manage open purchase orders and monitor vendor performance
  • Coordinate shipments of De Havilland-supplied materials to vendors
  • Ensure vendor compliance with De Havilland’s Quality Management System in collaboration with Supplier Quality Assurance
  • Work closely with the Line Logistics team to align subcontract services with the manufacturing schedule
  • Expedite critical orders and maintain accurate PO dock dates
  • Collaborate with Quality Control to verify the accuracy and completeness of vendor documentation
  • Liaise with Accounts Payable to ensure timely vendor payments


Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of experience in Purchasing or Procurement
  • Experience in the Aerospace sector is considered an asset
  • Experience in Manufacturing environment is considered an asset


Skills:

  • Familiarity with manufacturing operations
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
