In this Buyer role, you will review and analyze purchase requisition requirements and act as a liaison between the end user, Supplier, Project Manager or Engineer as required. What You Will Do:

  • Review and process purchase requisitions for goods/services and ensure compliance with purchasing procedures and requisition requirements.
  • Submit Request for Quotes (RFQs) to suppliers/contractors that have Master Service Agreements (MSA) and/or Terms & Conditions (T&C) agreements.
  • Interact with Suppliers, Contractors, Project Managers, Project Engineers, Consultants and other department personnel regarding requisition requirements, procurement procedures, approvals, order status and follow-up.
  • Build and maintain relations with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Release, review, and approve purchase orders and change orders to suppliers.
  • Complete all required close out activities for materials and services and work with internal and external stakeholders to validate closeout.
  • Ensure assigned supply chain procedures and initiatives minimize risk and provide the highest overall total value to Enbridge.
  • Other duties (in addition to or in lieu of those described above), as assigned by people leader according to the needs of the location or Company.

Who You Are:

  • University degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or related field with limited previous experience. For those who do not possess a university degree, an additional 3 years of related experience is required. Combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Previous related experience within Supply Chain as a materials/services buyer is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of supply chain concepts including understanding of current market conditions, key suppliers, industry knowledge and materials or services being procured (basic materials to complex services).
  • Possess a “sense of urgency” and ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment.
  • Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures and industry trends.
  • General knowledge of legal terminology including standard contract terms and conditions.

Physical Requirements (Office) include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 45 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to:

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.

U.S. ONLY

Salary range - $26.25-$35.48/hr

  • The plan is fully paid for by Enbridge, with no employee contributions
  • Pay credits are between 4% and 11% of eligible earnings, based on age and service
