Job summary

Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services is seeking a Buyer II for the Western Zone at WMH Purchasing. The permanent full-time position offers a remote work option and a standard 8-hour daytime schedule, 0800-1600, totaling 75 hours per pay period.

The role requires a university degree or 3-year business diploma, plus purchasing certification (SCMP) as an asset, and at least two years of recent buying experience. Proficiency with MS Office is expected.

Demands, duties, qualifications

Qualifications:

Educational qualifications include successful completion of one of the following:

• Bachelor's Degree from a recognized/accredited university
• 3- year diploma in Business Management from an approved/recognized college
• Recognized certification or accreditation in the purchasing field (SCMP)

Experience include:

• Minimum 2 years buying experience in the last 4 years
• Experience using various computer applications such as Microsoft Office (Meditech is an asset)
• Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills

Duties: (Included but not limited to)

• Constantly uses fine finger/precision to work on computer or perform clerical duties such as filing, answering the phone, etc.
• Constant visual and auditory concentration and multiple time pressures/deadlines with a lack of control over work pace.
• Other related duties.
