Position Summary

PFC Flexible Circuits Ltd, an OSIE Company, is seeking a permanent full-time Buyer. The Buyer will collaborate with quoting, purchasing, and sales teams to source, order, and expedite receipt of components needed for production. Responsibilities include sales order processing, delivery follow-up, negotiating contract pricing, resolving pricing and product issues, expediting, canceling/defering orders, and ensuring purchase orders support production needs. The role also involves evaluating suppliers based on capability, performance, and delivery, aligned with ISO standards, and working with them to improve cost, quality, delivery, and lead times.

Working Hours

Current shift hours are 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teams to source, order, and expedite components for production support.
  • Process sales orders and follow up on deliveries.
  • Negotiate pricing and resolve product and pricing issues.
  • Expedite, cancel, or defer orders as needed to meet production schedules.
  • Evaluate suppliers based on capability, performance, and ISO compliance.
  • Work with suppliers to improve cost, quality, delivery, and lead times.
  • Source components domestically and internationally.
  • Consult with manufacturing and program management on demand forecasts, pricing, and supply chain optimization.
  • Purchase commodities, chemicals, equipment, and supplies, ensuring inventory levels are maintained.
  • Verify prices and review contracts.
  • Maintain and develop supplier relationships.
  • Handle inquiries and complaints professionally.
  • Address non-conformance issues, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide excellent customer service with professional communication.
  • Uphold company values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.
  • Adhere to the company's Code of Ethics and Conduct.
  • Report quality issues or defects for corrective actions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of buying experience, preferably with electronic components.
  • Ability to coordinate across departments.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in negotiating favorable pricing is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
