About this role:

We are looking for a Buyer to be part of the Supply Chain Team in support of our business. In this role, you will work on our Supply Chain team to help develop relationships with suppliers, reduce the cost of materials for our organization, and work closely with the production team to provide all necessary materials to manufacture Robots. Our ideal candidate is strategic, has a high attention to detail, and is eager to learn and share knowledge with other team members.

The position reports directly to the Purchasing Manager.

Main Tasks:
  1. Process Purchase Requisitions and issue Purchase orders.
  2. Support with maintaining and reducing costs of materials and services for production.
  3. Implement part replenishment programs for applicable parts internally and throughout the supply chain.
  4. Work with the team to ensure incoming inventory meets minimum demand requirements and stays within maximum levels.
  5. Assist the Purchasing Manager in data collection on supplier performance and department OKRs.
  6. Improve ERP data integrity and utilization of system modules to optimize processes.
  7. Develop relationships with various vendors while executing best procurement practices.
  8. Resolve supplier material quality, delivery, and invoicing issues.
  9. Liaise with suppliers on quality problems in conjunction with company quality standards.
  10. Monitor Kanban stock levels and receipts.
Requirements:
  1. Demonstrates excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
  2. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.
  3. Ability to identify risks that affect supply and delivery.
  4. Good problem-solving skills.
  5. 1-2 years experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
  6. Good work ethic, self-motivated, and able to work independently and within a team environment.
  7. Formal education related to Procurement and Supply Chain.
  8. Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP systems – working knowledge of Epicor is an asset).
  9. Successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, which may include criminal/civil background checks.
