Job description

This is a full-time, onsite Buyer position with a growing manufacturing company in Stoney Creek. In this role, you’ll oversee purchasing activities related to steel and other raw materials, staying on top of global pricing trends and ensuring accurate and timely purchase orders. You’ll work closely with the Shipping & Receiving team to resolve discrepancies, audit vendors, and maintain supplier performance metrics. The environment is hands-on and collaborative, ideal for someone who enjoys being close to production and working within a tight-knit team that values precision, accountability, and cross-departmental communication.

This position offers an opportunity to grow into a leadership capacity as the procurement team continues to expand. You’ll play a key role in improving sourcing processes, supporting tooling and automation initiatives, and driving efficiency as the company scales into new markets. Candidates with at least two years of purchasing experience in manufacturing, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and a strong understanding of BOMs will be well-suited. A background in mechanical or business disciplines and a PMAC certification are considered assets.
